1Overview

High-quality S-parameter measurements in a portable instrument

The ICX-V060 makes two-port S-parameter measurements from 100 kHz to 6 GHz in a handheld instrument. A high-performance directional coupler with ≥ 40 dB effective directivity and a professional receiver design with 100 dB to 120 dB (typ.) dynamic range set the measurement quality. The 10.1-inch high-resolution, high-brightness touchscreen carries the whole workflow, and the instrument weighs 1.4 kg. It works on the lab bench, and it deploys just as easily in the field.

Usability and measurement confidence

Every ICX-V060 ships with an electronic calibration module and verified amplitude- and phase-stable test cables, so it arrives as a complete test solution. The calibration module simplifies calibration while providing sufficient accuracy for most applications. The verified cables help prevent measurement errors caused by poor cable performance. On the instrument, the ICX-V060 software makes setup, calibration and S-parameter measurement intuitive and efficient.

4Software Overview

The ICX-V060 runs its measurement software directly on the instrument.

Clear and user-friendly interface

The interface is modular, with five clearly organized functional areas: the menu bar, measurement display area, graph settings area, parameter settings area and status information bar.

Two-port S-parameter measurements

The ICX-V060 measures S11, S12, S21 and S22. Display formats include logarithmic magnitude, linear magnitude, phase, real, imaginary, SWR and Smith chart. It suits network parameter measurements of RF devices such as filters, amplifiers, cables and antennas.

Flexible sweep and scenario configuration

Sweep types are linear frequency, logarithmic frequency, power and CW. IF bandwidth, sweep points, averaging and dwell time are all configurable. Built-in measurement scenarios for typical devices recall sweep and trace configurations quickly, so setup stays efficient.

Automatic search and analysis

Bandwidth and X dB searches extract key frequency characteristics from a trace quickly. DTF analysis converts frequency-domain measurements to the time or distance domain. Multiple transform modes, display formats and window functions help locate impedance discontinuities in cables and other devices.
