Communication Options for Model 588-OEM

There are two options for the OEM card level Digital Delay/Pulse Generator. There is a 1 ns option and a 250 ps option. The Model 588-OEM-1n offers several programming operations to meet a variety of interface requirements. The 1 ns delay resolution, along with all the other parameters, may be controlled using Serial, USB or GPIB interface. The connectors are mounted on the side of the PC Board (card-edge connectors) and allow connections internally to your system or through panel mount configurations.

The Model 588-OEM-250ps offers control of 250 ps delay and width resolution, along with all other parameters, from a Serial, USB or Ethernet connection. The connectors are mounted to the side of the PC Board (card-edge connectors) and allow connections internally to your system or through panel mount configurations.

 

Overview

588-OEM-1n Pulse Generator

The Model 588-OEM-1n Series Digital Delay Pulse Generator Board offers 2, 4 or 8 independent outputs and is designed to provide cutting edge, yet cost-effective solutions to generate and synchronize multiple pulses for a variety of applications. The delay and pulse width for each channel are independent and digitally controlled, which make the instrument ideal for situations that require synchronizing a number of different events. Flexible operating modes allow complete control of pulse outputs, including continuous, duty cycle, burst and single shot with external trigger/gate. More advanced features such as multiplexing allow the timing of all or several channels to be combined for complex pulse patterns. For automated test equipment, complete control of the instrument can be added to provide RS232, USB and GPIB Interface or Ethernet. Full board integration and support is provided.

588-OEM-250p Pulse Generator

The Model 588-OEM-250p Digital Delay / Pulse Generator represents the latest in timing and synchronizing capabilities. The Model 588-OEM-250ps’s eight independent outputs, dual trigger/gate inputs and external clock reference input make it ideal for laser system timing applications. The system can directly phase lock to an external timebase up to 100 MHz in frequency and down to 20 mV in amplitude. This allows synching directly to a laser photodiode signal and provides complete system timing relative to the laser timing with low jitter. The 588-OEM-250p also provides a Clock Output that is capable of driving a 50 ohm load and can be used to provide a master timebase to other delay generators or equipment.

The core technology in the precision timing of the 588-OEM-250ps offers 250 ps Delay and Width resolution and 50 ps internal jitter. Optional Ethernet / USB interface, complex burst sequences, Divideby- N, Setting Profiles, Dual Triggers, Clock Divider, Pulse Picking and Negative Delays allow users great flexibility in setting up an experiment or synchronizing multiple events. Full board integration and support is provided.

TZ50 - 50 Ohm Output Module

The TZ50 option allows a user to have a 50 ohm load on the output while maintaining an output amplitude of at least 4 Volts while in the TTL/CMOS mode.

DT15 - Dual Trigger Input

The DT15 module option allows the Gate input to double as a second trigger input.

I-Pulse Increment Option

The (I) increment modes for the 588-OEM Pulse Generators are a pair of special modes which allows the delay and width of each channel to be incremented at the end of a burst of pulses.
