Berkeley Nucleonics Corporation (BNC), a instrumentation manufacturer founded in 1963, is celebrating 50 years of innovation. BNC manufactures industry-leading lines of precision test, measurement and nuclear instrumentation. We are proud of the many successful research programs in the technical community that have deployed BNC instruments. To date, the company has shipped approximately 180,000 products.
Our products include signal/pulse generators and femtosecond Digital Delay Generators (DDG), frequency counters and multimeters, radiation detectors and food monitoring systems. Flagship instruments include an 8-Channel, 250 picosecond Digital Delay Generator, a NIM Precision Pulse Generator, ANSI compliant handheld Isotope Identifers (RIID) and Personal Radiation Pagers / Detectors (PRD). We offer customers around-the-clock support and often customize a suite of instruments to meet the most demanding applications.
Our family of test and measurement instruments feature signal generators with picosecond risetimes, picosecond jitter, femtosecond resolution, voltages from TTL to 800V, arbitrary waveform capability and optical outputs (405nm – 1580nm). In 2012 we introduced our first microwave signal generator, emphasizing our passion for this field and our commitment to offering the widest range of benchtop signal generators in the industry. Our digital delay and pulse generators are packed with many useful output modes like Divide-by-N, Channel Multiplex, 80MHz Oscillator Sync and Channel Amplitudes. For signal detection and characterization, we are now offering new transient digitizers, 1GHz digital oscilloscopes, picosecond time interval counters and lock-in amplifiers.
BNC’s radiation detection lines are popular for detection, dosimetry and isotope identification. With a line of over 200 products, we can address applications ranging from HazMat teams and First Responders to complex border protection and environmental monitoring tasks. Our Model 940 SAM Defender, an industry leading Isotope Identifier offers real time medical, industrial, SNM and NORM nuclear isotope identification in a lightweight, battery powered package. We have added telemetry and networking options as well. New algorithms in the Model 971 Food-SSAFE enable speedy food and water sample analysis in a portable kit. From pager to portal, we understand detection and spectroscopy nuances and can consult with you efficiently.
BNC offers an accredited training program which provides attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and techniques involved in radiation detection and isotope identification. Both our classroom program with exercises and our online programs provides CEUs. Regional courses are held worldwide and often tailored to our student’s applications.
