Product Technical Note-DG535-BNC575 Programming Compatibility

April 5th, 2010

Berkeley Nucleonics Model 575 Digital Delay / Pulse Generator Includes Program Compatible Mode for Drop-In Replacement of Stanford Research System’s DG535

Berkeley Nucleonics offers an easy firmware upgrade option for the Model 575 which allows existing command structures originated with the DG535 (SRS Model) to be used without modifications. Ask for DG535 Command Set Compatibility.
This firmware upgrade aids in transitioning programming software from the DG535 to the more fully featured and higher throughput BNC Model 575. The majority of these commands perform identically to the SRS equivalent instrument functions, while some range and mode settings extend the functionality and/or the limits of the SRS equivalent capabilities.
“This new firmware feature will significantly increase the efficiency of migrating from older antiquated equipment to an up-to-date, more capable instrument” states Senior Applications Manager, John Yee.
The Model 575 Series from Berkeley Nucleonics is cost effective and extremely capable, providing solutions to generate and synchronize multiple pulses and triggers for a wide variety of applications from simple to complex. For automated test sequencing, all common computer interfaces are available such as RS232, USB, GPIB and Ethernet. The Model 575 Series provides up to eight fully independent digitally controlled channels with width, delay, and rate and amplitude control on each output.
