October 8th, 2019 - Continuing Challenges HazMat Workshop 2019

Berkeley Nucleonics continued its ongoing support of Continuing Challenge by attending the 30th edition in Sacramento, CA. This year, the workshop offered over 100 classes and brought together a wide array of HazMat professionals from as far as Guam in the pacific, to as far as Montana in the midwest. Teams were able to share their knowledge and expertise with their colleagues while getting a first-hand glimpse into the latest equipment advancements.

Berkeley Nucleonics had the honor of exhibiting at the 30th annual Continuing Challenge on September 24-27, 2019. Held at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Sacramento, CA, the Continuing Challenge is the nation’s leading hazardous materials emergency response workshop. There were over 100 classes during this year’s workshop, offering hands-on experience and training with the latest HazMat equipment, as well as information from government agencies on how they support HazMat.

The hundreds of attendees comprised of Hazmat teams from as far as Alaska and Guam, as well as first responders and members of the military, fire departments, and police departments.

Berkeley Nucleonics displayed many of its groundbreaking products in the radiation detection field, including personal radiation detectors as well as protectors. The Metrad 1  and 360 Gamma drew attention from many attendees and were the main highlights of the BNC booth. The 360 Gamma , meaningful wearable radiation protection. received quite a bit of attention as it was a brand new concept to many onlookers.

One of the BNC representatives, Matteo Kraftsow, said, “It was great to connect with old customers and demonstrate the BNC brand to new customers - we look forward to participating in and supporting the Continuing Challenge for years to come.”
