Model 875 · RF & Microwave Signal Generators, Vector Signal Generators

Build the threat scene one pulse at a time.

A multi-channel vector signal generator covering 10 MHz to 40 GHz continuously, with an internal I/Q modulator, 400 MHz of RF modulation bandwidth, and Pulse Descriptor Word playback (Option PDW) that sets frequency, power, phase, and pulse width on an 8 ns grid. Up to four phase-coherent channels fit in one 2U chassis.

Specifications reproduced from the Model 875 datasheet (V1.32) as published at berkeleynucleonics.com. Typical values are not warranted performance; PDW, UFS, SYNC, MOD, FCP, and AVIO are options.

Where the 875 goes to work.

Radar signal simulation
each channel can run its own independent PDW simulation, and multiple PDW sequences play back with phase coherence and accurate timing.

EW and receiver testing
up to four coherent emitters from one 2U chassis, with Option SYNC linking multiple units while keeping phase coherence across them.

Avionics modulation emulation
DME, VOR, ILS localizer and glideslope, and marker beacon signals with Option AVIO.

Arbitrary I/Q and antenna testing
play stored I/Q waveforms from memory, or stream I/Q data live through the fast control port (Option FCP) for high-speed antenna and receiver work.
