February 3, 2023 - Berkeley Nucleonics Awarded Portable Isotope ID Contract with DHS STC Denver Program

Berkeley Nucleonics Corporation (BNC) is proud to announce that it has received a significant delivery order for its SAM 950 Ruggedized Radioisotope Identification Devices (RIIDs) under a contract from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), City of Denver for the Securing The Cities (STC) program.

The Model SAM 950 (Cerium Bromide + GM + 3He) Ruggedized Isotope Identifier is designed to meet the requirements of ANSI 42.34 criteria for hand-held instruments for the detection and identification of radionuclides. BNC's patented hand-held RIID feature provides a superb solution for the demanding requirements of Homeland Security in the USA and other countries.

This ruggedized handheld radiation detection system is designed specifically for first responders, field analysis of nuclear materials, and challenging military applications.
