#### CLLBC Scintillators High Resolution Gamma / Neutron Detectors

The CLLBC (Cs₂LiLa(Br,Cl)₆:Ce) dual-mode scintillation crystal provides combined high-resolution gamma spectroscopy and neutron detection within a single detector volume. This eliminates the need for separate gamma and neutron sensors in applications requiring simultaneous measurement of both radiation types.

##### Key Properties of CLLBC Dual-Mode Scintillators

- **Gamma Performance:** Energy resolution of 3% FWHM at 662 keV, supporting clear identification of gamma-ray sources.
- N**eutron Detection:** Effective thermal neutron sensitivity through ⁶Li content, with clear discrimination from gamma events.
- **Pulse Shape Discrimination (PSD):** Excellent gamma/neutron separation based on differences in scintillation decay times, enabling reliable identification in mixed radiation fields.
- **Single-Crystal Solution:** Dual-mode capability reduces system complexity, size, and cost compared to using separate scintillators.

CLLBC scintillators are hygroscopic and available encapsulated with an entrance window, coupled to light sensors (PMT or SiPM), or as complete detector assemblies including front-end electronics for PSD processing.

#### Overview

Cesium Lanthanum Lithium BromoChloride (Cs2LiLaBr4.8Cl1.2:Ce) or CLLBC scintillators have similar properties to the well-known LaBr3:Ce material. Typical energy resolution for CLLBC scintillators is 3% FWHM for 662 keV. Due to the presence of Lithium however, CLLBC detectors can be used for Neutron detection in addition to high resolution gamma spectroscopy. The material features a sharp Neutron peak between 3.1 and 3.2 MeV. In addition CLLBC scintillators offer excellent neutron / gamma discrimination using PSD.
