High Power Light Pulse Generator with Polarization Maintaining Fiber

March 12th, 2009

Berkeley Nucleonics Corporation (BNC) announces the latest developments in precise light pulse generation. Our Model 6040 with optical plug-ins from 650nm 1580nm, now includes the option for Polarization Maintaining (PM) Fiber Outputs. PM fiber is a technique used by the source laser manufacturers and the interconnecting fiber manufactures to optimize the optical throughput of the entire system. The fiber axis is aligned according to various keys and results in improved optical integrity, reductions in loss of optical power (measured in joules or milliwatts) and support of a single polarization state…

Model 1035 areaSAM Spectroscopic Area Monitoring

Model 1035 areaSAM Spectroscopic Area Monitoring

For Immediate Release,

Remote monitoring of radiation levels, with isotopic identification of radionuclides, is accomplished with the Berkeley Nucleonics Model 1035 areaSAM. The fixed monitoring systems provide simple identification data, backed up by full qualitative spectroscopic data, isotope class, isotope specific dose rates and isotope identification in real time. New firmware upgrades allow users to set up multiple email addresses to receive ANSI N42.42 compliant reports. The identification algorithms used are similar to the company s flagship portable isotope identifiers, arguably the world’s leading identification algorithms in a non-germanium application.

Model 1105 Keys Shock Wave Metrology Development at Dynasen Inc.

March 3rd, 2009

Berkeley Nucleonics Corporation is proud to announce that Dynasen, Inc., a manufacturer of stress, strain, and flow measuring equipment in Goleta, California, recently selected BNC s Model 1105 Frequency Counter to support their continuing development of shock wave metrology.

Dynasen s gas gun facility is privately owned and is one of the most complete facilities of its kind to study the response of materials and pressure sensors exposed to dynamic loads. A specific area of endeavor that can be investigated is the calibration and development of shock and high g-force sensors.
