#### Model AP-3 | Portable NIM Power Supply

The AP-Series Portanims are attractive, compact, portable NIM compatible bins with self-contained power supplies. The Model AP-3 can hold six singles or combinations of larger module sizes equivalent to six. Portanims are aesthetically designed to give a finished and pleasing benchtop instrument appearance to plug-in modules. They can be used for BNC modular digital delay generators, trigger pulse amplifiers, pulse generators, programming interfaces, and the NIM-style plug-in instruments of other manufacturers. The units provide significant savings in cost, space, and weight over standard 12-width NIM bin/power supplies when instrumentation setups consisting of only one or several modules are needed. Power combinations of ±6 V, ±12 V, and ±24 V are available in the Model AP-3. AC 117 V power for modules that may require it is also provided. The supplies conform to the specifications of AEC report TID-20893 (Rev. 3) except for maximum current ratings since they hold fewer modules. The AP-Series Portanims can be handily carried about in the laboratory or field. Each model can be set down on its back or bottom. A foldout bale allows tilting up on the bench and the sturdy carrying handle swings out of the way when not in use. A covered compartment at the rear allows storage for line cord, signal cables, etc., and gives access to instruments’ rear panel controls.
