From San Francisco Airport [South Bay]
Take Hwy 380 West to Hwy 280 North. Continue North following 19th Avenue / Golden Gate Bridge. Cross the Golden Gate Bridge (non-toll direction) and continue North 101 to San Rafael. Exit at Francisco Blvd., which turns sharply to the right. At the bottom of the off ramp, position yourself in the center lane. Left onto Bellam Blvd., pass under the freeway then immediate Right on Francisco Blvd. (one-way street). Left on Irene Street (the Loop). Right on Kerner.

From Sonoma County [North Bay]
101 South to the 580 East Interchange in San Rafael, take the Francisco Blvd. Exit. At the bottom of the off ramp, position yourself in the center lane. Left onto Bellam Blvd., pass under the freeway then immediate Right on Francisco Blvd. (one-way street). Left on Irene Street (the Loop). Right on Kerner.

From Oakland Airport [East Bay]
Hwy 880 North to Hwy 980 East then take Hwy 580 toward San Francisco / Berkeley. 580 and 880 will join briefly. Continue on Hwy 580 North to the Richmond / San Rafael Bridge. (This is the toll direction. Cost: $3) Take the Francisco Blvd. Exit (First exit after clearing the bridge), then follow Francisco Blvd. roughly 1.5 miles along freeway to Irene Street. Turn right on Irene Street (the Loop). Right on Kerner Blvd.










Airport Transportation and Local Accommodations

Marin Airporter Shuttle Service (SFO)

Shuttle service is available every 1/2 hour (5 a.m. to midnight) from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to several locations in Marin County including walking distance to the hotels listed below. The pick up point for Marin Airporter is outside of baggage claim (located on the lower level), on the center courtesy island. Look for signs that say “Airporters” and stand near the “Marin/Sonoma County” sign. Adult fares range from $16 to $19 depending on destination.

Located in beautiful Larkspur Landing near the San Francisco Bay, the hotel is a short walk from the main Marin Airporter shuttle and the Larkspur Ferry which offers service to downtown San Francisco. This hotel is less than 3 miles from the Berkeley Nucleonics office.

With its quick shot north into the Sonoma wine country, the Courtyard Novato is across the street from the Novato Terminal of the Marin Airporter. This hotel is less than 10 miles from the Berkeley Nucleonics office.

Sonoma County Airport Express (OAK)

Shuttles from the Oakland Airport (OAK) depart every 2 hours (6 a.m. to midnight) and stop at the downtown San Rafael Transportation Hub at Third and Hetherton Streets. The Transportation Hub is 2 miles from the Berkeley Nucleonics office. At the Oakland Airport, Sonoma County Airport Express buses pick up and disembark passengers directly outside baggage claim at the Regional Transportation stop. Location is across three lanes of traffic between the two terminals at the bus shelter marked “Regional Transportation.” The adult fare is $22.

Marin Door To Door (charter SFO, OAK, SJO and Amtrak)

For groups of 4 or more, this can be a more convenient and cost efficient alternative to pre-scheduled shuttles. Advanced reservations are required. Marin Door To Door serves the San Francisco (SFO), Oakland (OAK), and San Jose (SJO) airports, as well as the Amtrak Emeryville train station. Fares vary depending on pick-up point, drop-off point, and number in group.
