An Arbitrary Waveform Generator (AWG or ARB) generates electrical waveforms. These waveforms can be either repetitive or single-shot. The waveforms can be injected into a DUT, device under test, and analyzed as they progress through the device. Arbitrary Waveforms such as sine waves, pulses, noise, ramps, triangles and exponentials can be added to an ARB to provide standard Function Generator signals.
An Arbitrary Waveform Generator can generate a user-defined wave shape as its output. The waveform is defined as a series of specific voltages that occur at consecutive time intervals. The user selects the time interval (the AWG sample rate) and the amplitude of the signal for the consecutive time intervals. The data to form these waveforms may be exact copies of scope signals, originate from waveform creation and editing software or downloaded using any one of many acceptable data files (See Model 645 Specs). Some of the considerations in selecting an Arbitrary Waveform Generator is the maximum sample rate, which determines the maximum time resolution, the number of bits of amplitude resolution and the amount of memory or number of time segments allowed.
BNC provides arbitrary waveform generators technology solutions for application in medicine, education, communications, photonics, circuit design, power systems, and consumer electronics. we can provide groundbreaking arbitrary waveform technology to meet your needs.
The Model 645 Arbitrary Waveform Generator is a major breakthrough in price/performance for signal measurements and analysis. This versatile device allows the engineer to access a broad range of operating modes such as arbitrary waveform, pulse, word/data integration, function, VCO, AM, FM, SSB, FSK, and burst. The 645 AWG delivers clean, fully synthesized, DC to 21.5 MHz modulated or unmodulated waveforms with 0.01 Hz frequency resolution and 1mV and 0.1 dBm amplitude resolution. The user friendly, easy-to-read LCD display allows the user to see all modulation parameters simultaneously. A full numeric keypad and encoder provides direct editing of each parameter, without confusing sub-menus.
When generating waveforms the Model 645 - 50MHz Function / Arbitrary Waveform Generator delivers many features and modes not found on any other instrument. New DDS+ technology embraces advancements in the semiconductor industry and leveraging state-of-the-art components for both standard and complex functions.
The 645 Arbitrary Waveform Generator’s speed, sample rates, and memory are expanded giving you, the demanding customer, a better product representing an excellent value. See our Arbitrary Waveform line up below:
